One of the things we hear most when a teacher opens Alquie for the first time is: "Where do I start?". The platform has several mechanics, course settings, and possible narratives. And the last thing we want is for the first day to feel like reading a manual.
That's why, in this alpha phase, we're launching something we've been cooking for months: an AI-powered assistant, integrated throughout the entire platform, that understands where you are and what you need at every moment.
What does it actually do?
The assistant isn't a generic chatbot. It's connected to the context of the screen you're on and knows exactly how Alquie works. In practice, it can help you with three concrete things:
- Navigation. "How do I create a new class?", "Where do I enable the store?", "What happens if a student loses their monster?". It answers with clear steps and, when needed, tells you exactly which button to click.
- Activity mechanics. Not sure how to set up a potion quiz, a raid boss, or a Treasure Hunt expedition? The assistant explains the rules, the pedagogical decisions behind each mechanic, and suggests when to use one or the other depending on your goal.
- Narratives for activities. This is the part we're most excited about. You tell it what you want to teach — the War of a Thousand Days, ecosystems, quadratic equations — and it proposes a setting, characters, and missions so your lesson feels like an adventure, not a test.

How we built it
Under the hood, the assistant uses Gemini 2.5 Flash with prompts designed specifically for Alquie's pedagogical context. Every response takes two things into account: which screen the teacher is on and what kind of question they're asking. That keeps responses short, actionable, and consistent with the platform's tone.
We placed it behind the Pro plan because inference has a real per-query cost and we want to keep the conversation thoughtful. For alpha teachers, access is enabled by default for the entire phase.

It appears on the dashboard, when creating activities, on the adventure map, and other key places. We invite you to try it and, above all, to tell us what works and what's missing — because this first version is only the beginning.
We're already thinking about what's next: remembering past conversations, proactive suggestions when it detects that a student needs reinforcement, and saveable templates for narratives that work especially well with each group.
